RIP Gerald Levert (1966 - 2006)

R&B Singer Gerald Levert has passed away at age 40 due to a heart attack. This is very shocking. He was a great talent. Those of you that watch MTV's Sweet Sixteen may remember him from the episode that featured his daughter, Carlysia last season. Levert was very vocal about his disapproval of the way MTV portrayed his daughter on the show.

He is son of Eddie Levert, Sr. of the O'Jays. He was a member of the 3-member group Levert from the 80's with the hit "Cassanova". He will be missed.
