Best Suspense Movies

Those of you who know me well probably know that I am in love with scary movies. I don't ride roller coasters, bungee jump, or parasail, but I'll sit in my living room at night with all of the lights off and a bowl of popcorn on my lap while watching a bone chilling thriller. I know a lot of people who will do all of the aforementioned risk-your-life type activities, yet they will not sit with me to watch a suspense/horror scripted series of events, even in a theatre full of people. It's so interesting how we are all wired so differently!

Yesterday, "Right Wing News" posted the following question, just in time for Halloween: "What Are The Best Suspense Movies You've Ever Seen?" Here is a list of my faves:

10 Primal Fear
9) Stir of Echoes
8) Joy Ride
7) Signs
6) The Hand That Rocks The Cradle
5) Cape Fear
4) The Shining
3) Final Destination 2
2) What Lies Beneath
1) Halloween

Video Clip of the Week

One of the best, most underrated movies I've ever seen. I can watch it over and over and never tire of it.

The Butterfly Effect, starring Ashton Kutcher and Amy Smart

I've included a video set to the song "Been A While" by Staind, which is on the soundtrack and includes poignant scenes from the movie.

Movie Clip of the Week

I have a weird sense of humor. There are certain things that are just hilarious to me that I cannot explain. Each Tuesday, I'll start choosing a clip from a movie to display. The clip featured will represent what I think is the funniest moment in the movie. In some cases, it will also display my odd funny bone. :-)

This week we have Jon Lovitz's cameo in the movie "The Wedding Singer". One of my all time favorites. "Well, good luck finding a DJ who can move and shake LIKE THIS". Classic. :-)
